About me
Hi! Welcome to So Neuro.
I've created this space to explore the things I'm learning through my studies of the human mind. This blog is curated to my personal interests, which, admittedly, does nothing to narrow things down.
Neuroscience is a fascinating field that is growing rapidly thanks to modern technology (yay!). But that also means it can be really abstract for anyone without an advanced degree. Science isn't only for intellectuals who make computational models in their spare time; it's for everybody. After all, it's your brain we're talking about here! I want to take some of these exciting new discoveries (and maybe some exciting old ones, too) and share them with you as they really are: fun, engaging, and totally mind-blowing.
My Book of The Month
So You Want to Be a Neuroscientist? by Ashley Juavinett
Should I go to grad school? What are my career options? What can I expect from my peers and advisors? What even is neuroscience, anyway? Dr. Juavinett addresses all these questions and more!
This book took me out of my head and gave me some concrete (and much-needed) direction. I recommend to anyone who's looking to pursue a career in neuroscience!
